WHO WE ARE

The UYC coalition is made up of the following three powerful youth organizations across NYC:

Future of Tomorrow (FOT) of Cypress Hills Local Development and Corporation—Future of Tomorrow is an organization led by students who are dedicated to improving education in the Cypress Hills and East New York neighborhoods in Brooklyn so that all students are provided the opportunities needed to succeed.

Make the Road New York(MRNY)—MRNY builds power in marginalized communities across the state. Its Youth Power Project empowers and organizes youth to achieve educational, racial, and immigrant justice. MRNY’s Brooklyn and Staten Island chapters are part of UYC.

Sistas and Brothas United (SBU) of the Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition—SBU is a youth-led organization in the Bronx that develops youth leadership to change conditions in their schools, neighborhoods, and beyond. Since its founding in 1999, SBU has worked with Bronx youth to take action together to transform their lives, schools, and communities.
